Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

LAST CALL for Tesco Clubcard to Avios conversions

Hopefully you don’t need a reminder, but tomorrow – Monday – is your last day to convert Tesco Clubcard points to Avios.

Transfers must be initiated on the Clubcard website by midnight on Monday.

Meanwhile, TODAY – Sunday – is your last chance to turn your existing points balance into vouchers.

As long as you have earned 150 Clubcard points in the current quarter, you can convert them NOW into Clubcard vouchers. This is called ‘Faster Vouchers’.

Your points will be turned into vouchers within 24 hours. This means that you will have a voucher code in time to transfer it by midnight on Monday.

I was sitting on 157 points on Thursday so I converted 150. The voucher code did appear within 24 hours as promised, and when I get a minute today I will convert my existing £29.50 of Clubcard vouchers.

You can learn more about Tesco Clubcard ‘Faster Vouchers’ in this article.

I was able to order faster vouchers last night (Sunday) and use them today (Monday) to buy Avios.

Until Curve sort out their issue with Amex I don’t see it becoming a widely used product.

  • Rajesh says:

Please can someone give me some tips on how to maximise the benefits with the Curve Card. My card is linked to IHG mastercard. When I top up my Revolut account with Curve it is being classed as cash and I am charged a fee. Cannot make payments to private pension as they don’t accept Curve card. So using only when shopping at Boots, Wilko etc. Thank you.

    • Alex Sm says:

What people do from time to time is to withdraw cash from Curve linked to IHG, 200-300 pounds a month, then deposit this on their current account and you have 2500-3500 “free” IHG rewards points a year. Not much but still

      • Rajesh says:

I tried withdrawing small amounts of cash (£20) but Creation started charging me a fee as these were classed as cash payments. Thanks.

        • Alex Sm says:

something is not right there… Creation normally does not do this (maybe they started recently)

    • Dan says:

Boots and Wilko take Amex, do you have a Amex you could use to maximise points?

    • Dan says:

Do you have the free Virgin card. I used that as the underlying card for ages doing this and managed to get points from it – not a huge amount admittedly
