Even if you live in a Tier 4 area, you will find that Home Bargains is still open selling those core daily essentials.

And, let’s be frank, nothing is more essential than a heavily reduced British Airways die cast model ….

This is what reader Joe spotted down at Home Bargains yesterday.

Reduced by a whopping 80% we have this:

…. and, at just under 80% off, we have:

…. and if you’re more of an SAS flyer, you can save 82%:

SAS model plane B&M bargains

I’m not totally sure if this is unsold stock from the High Life Shop. We’ve already seen Brewdog selling off its British Airways beer and Pickering’s selling off its British Airways gin. The ’round’ original prices of £10 and £19 suggests that they may have been destined for duty free sales.

  • Tony Currie says:

They had some Virgin Atlantic models in the Byflert store pre Xmas, too.

  • old bob says:

Many years ago in the early 80’s as a student I worked for Skyshops (part of WH Smiths at the time) some outlets were landside in terminal 1 and 2, airside terminal 2 and 3 and also atop Queens buildings. We sold dozens of these type of models to the anorak and binoculars crew. I was wondering where all the nerds who bought them ended up, now I know!

  • Pablo says:

Bought a die cast BA 747 model for my nephew. They also had Virgin remote plane and SAS airport playset in Lincoln store.

  • Koala says:

Went to the store in York – no luck.
