  Curve related. I asked Curve support for raise on card limits for my Blue Curve card. They’ve emailed me back and asked for different proofs of ID and a selfie photo etc. Is this normal?

  Hilton are apparently letting all diamond status members gift diamond status to one person for 2021

    Diamond members can gift gold.
    Lifetime diamond members can gift diamond.

        It’s not active yet.
        Apparently over the next week it will be rolled out.

        Get Amex Plat for a month and you get Gold and 5 other cards, so logically £50 max unless you can’t get Plat.

          Do you get ‘blacklist’ if you do this? Or how long after I cancel the Plat is it ‘reasonable’ again to get it (and for a longer period this time!)?

          Don’t have any airline status so getting Shangri-La Jade then 3 flights on SQ for KF Gold is quite tempting.

      Any Diamond can gift Gold. It is a benefit for hitting 60 nights. Has been for years.

      Looks like this will be extended to all Diamonds even those who did not requalify.

  I just noticed I have an IHG free night that is due to expire on 31st Dec. I think I earned this from the Creation/IHG Card last year and it was extended by 6 months.

  SOOO – which is the nicest London IHG hotel that will redeem a free night?
  We live in London and the Intercontinental Park Lane is not offering redemptions until 7th Jan – is there any place that is worth a night out?

      Good point, but in fact there are not many countries where we can guarantee entry any time soon.

      Its either London or build an Autumn long weekend around a decent IHG hotel in Europe

        And after 16 December you’ll likely need to make it a “work stay” to be able to stay in a London hotel when it enters tier 3

  Is it worth using close to 200k Hilton points (Will be using points to book the room). to hit Hilton diamond status. Thinking of doing a mattress run to get in the additional 14 nights I need.

    Not at the moment it isn’t.
    Most lounges are shut and hotels are empty so your more likely to get an upgrade as gold
    Just get gold via amex plat.

    Do you mean you need 14 nights (so 7 nights before 31/12) or 28 nights (so 14 nights before 31/12)?

    Either way, a few £30 day room workspaces is likely to be a lot cheaper.
