Le Meridien Piccadilly to leave Marriott

Le Meridien Piccadilly, the historic Piccadilly hotel, is leaving Marriott Bonvoy and becoming independent. It will rebrand as ‘The Dilly’ in 2021.

The 283 room hotel is currently closed for renovation, with a new lobby and entrance as well as an ongoing redesign of the bedrooms.

The decision to leave Marriott was made at the end of the management contract. The hotel has been removed from the Marriott website and it looks like it is yet to launch its own.

Time will tell if it ends up signing a loose affiliation deal with Hilton’s Curio Collection, Marriott’s Autograph Collection or a similar ‘soft’ brand.
