  Had the ‘Spend £500 get 500 Avios’ x 2 offer on my BA Amex. It sounds from the wording that it may be single spend only, which would be unfortunate as I can’t see that I’ll be spending £500 on a single transaction any time soon.

    Ambiguous…

    “500 flat Avios will be rewarded upon spend of £500 per UK Card up to 2 times for a maximum of 1000 Avios.
    Avios will only be rewarded if the spend threshold of £500 (Great British Pounds (GBP)) is met.”

    As read it doesn’t require single transaction of £500 (and indeed, this has never been the case since eg airline spend is charged per passenger so 4×125 triggers this offer)

  Rob, Spend £500, receive 500 Avios is closing at 31/01/2021 on my card. Don’t know if this was anything to do with my card has both offer on it.

  My offer is ‘Get 500 Avios when you spend £500 anywhere, up to 2 times until 31 January 2021. Offer only available to the first 75,000’
  According to the T&Cs ‘500 flat Avios will be rewarded upon spend of £500 per UK Card up to 2 times for a maximum of 1000 Avios’ so I interpret this as not necessarily having to be £500 spend in a single transaction?

  I’ve got the spend £100 get 1,500 bonus Avios on my card and it does appear to be cumulative spend up to 31 December. Spend in foreign currency counts as long as the bill is “settled” – i.e. payment taken from your account – in Sterling, subject to the usual foreign exchange fee of course.
