The HfP chat thread – Tuesday 10th November

We have decided to run this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

By default, HfP shows the last page of comments under the article. Also Rob, I am using google chrome for desktop and for some reason when i scroll down the site, it just randomly scrolls back up to the top again, had a look at my cache etc but its been happening for a while, thought I would let you know!

    Been happen to me as-well, I have emailed Rob&Rhys with a screenshot of it occurring so they can look into it. I also find if I try to reply on my phone it scrolls to top of the page and I have to scroll all the way back down to type my response. Do you get this issue to?

I’ve completed spending £10K on my IHG mastercard, and also completed £10K on my BA premium plus amex.

I still have the Hilton platinum visa barclaycard in my draw and am considering pushing some spend there, £10K to achieve Hilton Gold status. Is the Hilton barclaycard on the way out? I’m trying to work if out I can achieve Gold for the free brekkie, before the card is withdrawn!

Amex promo for £30 back when spending £150 on Selfridges. Can I purchase a gift card with it online? Looks like it’ll re-direct me to another site and not selfridges.com.
