The HfP chat thread – Wednesday 4th November

We have decided to run this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

For self employed/directors: If you move your banking to HSBC Kinetic, you will now get personal HSBC premier without meeting premier criteria. It’s an easy way to get HSBC Premier! Not able to upgrade atm due to coronavirus but if you’re opening a new account, it would work!

      The offer is available until 1 April 2021 and there is a switch bonus of £125 currently on. Other benefits of Kinetics are discounts for G Suite, WeWork, etc.

Not received any information about being targeted for the Platinum Harrods offer but decided to order a pair of socks to see if this would trigger the offer, as Andrew reported that the offer showed up on his account after doing this. So far, no luck! If anything changes, I will report back.

Has anyone had any success with the Zipcar flex referral. Tried two email addresses and told both times there was a problem and they would email me. But so far nothing.
Also and possibly off topic. The wife mentioned she wanted some jo malone perfume using the Harrods offer but it was way more expensive than the highlife shop. Unfortunately the online highlife shop appears closed so I can’t find out which type she wants. Does anyone know which jo malone they sell please.
