  Am I being dim – those cargo pallets look to big to get through door 1L or even 4R, so how do they get them in and out? Has a new cargo door been sliced through the fuselage at passenger deck level?

    Scrub that. Just worked out that the netting is a fixture, so the boxes have to be individually loaded and stacked?! That’s a lot of work!

      Yes requires a human chain and an hour or two to load and secure.
      I am surprised there hasn’t been a flexible conveyor belt system adapted for this purpose (I don’t under why in normal times passenger luggage is loaded from a belt onto a cart and then onto another belt to get inside the aircraft rather than a flexible belt system that takes it all the way to the aircraft stand.

  The F cabin is left in place because the cabin crew still need somewhere to sit during the flight.

  Because of different fire systems in the cargo hold and passenger cabins humans are still required to make regular patrols through the cabin.

  At least the cargo won’t be arguing over not wearing masks or complaining about the food.

  Didn’t really see the difference between “Amazon Music Unlimited” and “Amazon Music”, that comes free with Amazon Prime?!

    It’s just the amount of music available. Unlimited is pretty much the same music that you’d get with Spotify, Deeser, etc. The free with Prime music is only about 20% of this, although for most people this will be plenty.

    I tend to just take the free Unlimited upgrade when they offer and cancel before charge me anything.

        Lidl has a free trial of Readly in their app 2 months. Giving it a try but so far prefer the more international selection of magazines in Pressreader and at least Pressreader also has the Daily Mail in their +also better) newspaper section for me to shout at.

          A lot of the the London Libraries and others are part of a scheme that gives you Press Reader and RB Digital for free. You need to have a library card with them, but it’s saved me ££££ in magazine costs and paper too.

          RE Amazon Prime Music premium, if you have Spotify, it’s not worth paying for it. I did a trial and compared what I found on each and can’t recall seeing something on one that wasn’t on the other. Interfaces were a bit different so you may find something easier on one than the other.

  Just checked and you can still book Delta using Virgin miles to say AMS from JFK for 50,000 points and $5.60. Fewf! Weirdly it doesn’t display on the calendar view, it recommends the KLM redemption as the cheapest which is 48,500 miles and $265 in taxes.

    Yeh, booked a one way back via Paris on Delta One a couple of weeks back for 59000 plus £19 tax!
    Not a lot of availability tho.

    Question is if VA goes under by April will Delta still honour flight??

  I wouldn’t say that Delta and BA “takes advantage of US residents” with higher taxes, I would say they offset the ludicrously easy miles earning rates in the US with higher taxes to ensure US customers don’t hoover up all the flight availability leaving nothing for those in the UK!
