Got Amex Platinum? Get £400 of TOTALLY FREE Marriott hotel stays

2,000 lucky holders of The Platinum Card from American Express are about to get themselves a very generous offer indeed – £400 of free Marriott International hotel stays.

This new offer has just launched. Only 2,000 people are able to register.

If you have The Platinum Card, I STRONGLY recommend that you look at your online offers page IMMEDIATELY. If you see this offer, click ‘save to card’. It will disappear as soon as 2,000 people have saved it.

American Express Amex Platinum card £400 free Marriott stays

I do NOT have this offer. It is possible that this is one for non-Londoners.

Do I really get £400 of free stays?

Yes. Here are the terms:

Spend £400 and get £400 cashback

You must stay by 23rd November

Valid at participating hotels

£400 of free Marriott hotel stays

What hotels are ‘participating’?

Not many, unfortunately. However, they are all very high end and you’re in for a treat with your free £400.

In the UK, your options are:

I live in London. This is pointless for me.

No it isn’t. Assuming that you simply don’t just fancy a change of scene, how about this?

Book the cheapest room you can find, and then spend the difference up to £400 in the hotel restaurant and bar. Go home at night if you must, then pop back to check out the next day.

Think of all the Marriott Bonvoy points you’ll earn as well.

There are numerous non-UK options too although only two German hotels are outside the UK quarantine rules.

If you are targetted for this offer, you are in for a great short break. Enjoy.

PS. On Tuesday, I hope to run another article showing the special benefits that you will get if you book via our hotel booking partner Emyr Thomas.

Well I’ve got the offer (NW3 postcode) but don’t know what to do with the bloody dog overnight!

  • Nick says:

Checked multiple times. App website. Nada. Very annoying. Don’t think I’ve ever used my platinum or any Amex in Marriott.

  • Alex says:

The T’s &C’s state OFFER TERMS
    Book direct at marriott.com
Offer valid on checkout spend only at participating locations.
Book and pay by the offer end date.

It doesnt really state that the stays need to be done by 23rd November so should work on future bookings past this date?

    • Rob says:

That’s not how it works. Your card needs to be charged by 23rd November. If you book a pre-paid rate and the charge goes through then that should work even though it is against the T&Cs.

  • Olly says:

Thanks Rob,as I would have missed this. ….. I’ve missed the geographical connection tho so gets it but I’m locate Surrey. Just saved to card at 17.45 hrs so must be more than 2000 surely??????

    • TGLoyalty says:

There’s not that many primary Platinum card holders. But imagine it’s still a minority rather than a majority.

  • Jtz says:

Makes me wanna upgrade OH green to plat, been waiting for some time so we can best use the lounge access, but doesnt look like we will be travelling anytime soon,
Those that have upgraded…just curious…how long do you have the card to ask to cancel and still get the 20k points(for staying and not cancelling)
    Thanks

    • Olly says:

Its still small recompense for the high on £50 a month we’re paying for the privilege with little back.

  • Pid says:

Damn nothing and I need a hotel next week for a few days. Will have to use one of them other many offers.

  • Andrew says:

I’ve never seen different offers on the app and website – always exactly the same

    • Harry T says:

      Same!

      • Sandgrounder says:

I have seen differences, often quite a few missing. It seems better now than it used to be though, last one I noticed missing from the app was probably the first spend £100/£100 back.

  • Allan says:

For the £50 off £200 spend, any experience to confirm if this is cumulative spent like Hilton?
