Last month we covered the launch of Wizz Air’s new base at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, albeit with just one aircraft.
Due to either strong forward bookings, or the added restrictions on flying to and from its native Hungary, Wizz Air has decided to add a second aircraft from late October.

The following routes are now bookable from 22nd October:
- Doncaster Sheffield – Lanzarote, 3 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Tenerife, 3 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Fuerteventura, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Gran Canaria, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Lisbon, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Eindhoven, 2 weekly
The original set of routes, also launching from 22nd October, is:
- Doncaster Sheffield – Alicante, 3 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Faro, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Kosice, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Larnaca, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Lublin, 3 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Malaga, 2 weekly
- Doncaster Sheffield – Suceava, 2 weekly
It’s impressive what sort of network you can create with just two aircraft when you work them hard.
