Hilton Honors has just launched its new Autumn promotion which is now open for registration.
The promotion is called ‘Double Rewards’.
To give Hilton credit, it is very straightforward with virtually no small print.
What do I get with Hilton’s ‘Double Rewards’?
You will earn DOUBLE Hilton Honors base points for every stay between 8th September and 31st December.
You also earn DOUBLE elite night credits.
This makes the offer very interesting for anyone chasing Hilton Honors status. It also makes the Hilton status match very attractive, as I will highlight in a separate article tomorrow.
For most brands, you will earn 10 base points per $1 spent, plus an additional 10 promotional points plus any status bonus.
Given that I value a Hilton Honors point at around 0.33p, you are getting a good return on your spending here. 20 points per $1 is an 8% rebate and that is before you add in any status bonus.
What is the small print?
There is not much small print except that you need to register in advance via the Hilton website.
Apart from that, all is good:
There is no minimum stay requirement
Existing bookings still count
All Hilton Family properties (Hilton, Hampton, Curio, Waldorf-Astoria, Conrad etc) are taking part – there is no list of non-participating hotels
Remember that the Home2 Suites and Tru brands earn a lower 5 base points per $1.
There is NO ‘starting with your second stay’ rule. You get double points from your first stay during the promotional period.

Remember that Hilton will carry over your elite nights to 2021
Hilton announced in July that all of your elite night credits earned in 2020 will be carried over to 2021.
This makes ‘Double Rewards’ very interesting. Even if you don’t need to earn Hilton status for 2021, because your 2020 status has been extended, it is still worth putting in some nights.
The elite nights you earn in 2020 will carry over into 2021, and will help you earn status for 2022!
Details of Hilton’s ‘elite rollover nights’ arrangement are here.
Register for ‘Double Rewards’ now
Hilton’s new ‘double base points and double elite nights’ promotion is a decent offer, especially for people doing longer, more expensive stays.
It will also be a real benefit to anyone looking to earn status for 2021 or, due to the rollover of your elite nights credits, 2022.
You should make sure you register here if you have any Hilton stays coming up over the next four months.
Even without Hilton Honors status, you will be earning 20 points (which I value at 6.6p) per $1. This is an 8% rebate on your spending. Anyone with Hilton status will do even better.
Even if you don’t have any stays planned, it is still worth registering just in case – a lot can happen between now and 31st December.
