Delta Air Lines to use Plaza Premium Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 2

Last week we reported that Virgin Atlantic was to give its status and premium passengers use of the Plaza Premium lounge in Heathrow Terminal 2.

This arrangement starts today, which is the first day that the lounge reopens.

Unsurprisingly, Delta Air Lines – which codeshares with Virgin Atlantic on its US routes and owns 49% of the British carrier – has just announced a similar deal from today.

What is not clear is how much capacity will be taken up by these two airlines and how much will be left for ‘walk up’ Priority Pass cardholders.

HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard gets you get a free LoungeKey card, allowing you access to the LoungeKey network.  Guests are charged at £20 although it may be cheaper to pay £60 for a supplementary credit card for your partner.
