Welcome to the brand new Head for Points daily email format!

Yesterday, we unveiled a brand new look for the Head for Points website. If you only read our articles via email you may not have noticed, but we encourage you to take a look. A lot of our key reference articles should now be much easier to find.

To match the new site design we’ve rolled out this new email format. You will still get our three daily articles emailed to you in full each day.

If you experience any problems with the new format, please email Rhys at rhys@headforpoints.com. Please include details about the device and email client you are using. Thanks!

One negative side of the new emails is that you might get less clicks on the site (from me at least). The old ones used to display too small on my phone using the Yahoo mail app that I really had to click through to read the articles. These are much easier on the eye

  • lumma says:

One other thing, the site no longer seems to save my name and email address even after clicking the button to do so.

    (Using Firefox on mobile)

On iPhone it’s OK, except that the “Top Credit Cards” section only shows 2 out of the 3 images and links. In Outlook on my laptop it is diabolically bad. It has clearly not been tested in all the popular email reader apps. More testing please !!! Probably developed by a Mac based developer ???

    • Rhys says:

What version of Outlook are you using? We tested it about a gazillion times!

  • Mikeact says:

Personally, I had no problem with the older version !

  • Mikeact says:

Except my Avatar has gone, allowing impersonations.
My name is also not saved using a Samsung Tablet.

  • Sam Wardill says:

Much better for me as I mainly read on my iPhone. I no longer need to rotate the phone to read the email! Thank you Rhys.

  • DavidJohnstone says:

As a new reader, where was it announced yesterday?

  • wyvern says:

I preferred the more compact format of the older emails. The newer one requires more scrolling to read. Perhaps allow subscribers to choose their preferred email format (large text/compact)?
