NOW SOLD OUT: Stay for $499 for two at the Park Hyatt Maldives, including breakfast and dinner

Travelzoo is currently running an offer at the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa.

It is offering a five night voucher for two for $2495 ($499/night). This nets you an ‘upgraded’ pool villa, with private plunge pool and beach access, as well as breakfast and dinner every day. You would normally be paying $900+ per night (not including tax) just for the room:

The Park Hyatt also offers a range of complimentary activities, including sunrise and sunset yoga, cocktail hour on the beach, use of sea kayaks and snorkel gear.

As this is a voucher, you do not have to confirm your dates immediately:

“You must call to confirm your dates with the hotel by Sept. 30, 2022 and we recommend calling as early as possible, at least 30 days prior to your stay, to avoid disappointment.”

Crucially, the voucher is fully refundable up until 31st October 2022:

“Until the voucher’s expiry date, Travelzoo will give you a full refund of your purchase if you can’t find dates that suit you or you can’t travel.”

The minimum stay is 5 nights for $2495, but this can be extended for $499 per night. This rate is valid for single or double occupancy. You can add a third adult for $265 per night, including breakfast.

Travel is between 1st December 2020 and 31st October 2022.

There are a few blackout dates: New Year’s Eve 2020 and 22nd December 2021 until 4th January 2022. There is also an additional $100 surcharge per room, per night, between 5th January 2022 and 28th February 2022.

You will need a roundtrip transfer from the airport to the resort:

“Roundtrip airport transfers are an additional $520 per adult and $430 per child, inclusive of taxes.”

Unfortunately, you won’t be eligible for World of Hyatt points. You can purchase the voucher here.

Looks like this might be the start of many good Maldives deals.

Radisson Blu did a really good offer about a month back. About £210/nt, including taxes, for two adults, in an Overwater Villa. Includes breakfast (no other meals) and seaplane transfer needed on top. But still an amazing deal.

  Yeah, I booked the Radisson Blue Maldives deal for next year – 3 of us including my child for $238 per night bed and breakfast and their are some other discounts on top of that. Bargain!

  OT @Vit, can you confirm for me that the usual visa waiver for Thai nationals entering Japan still applies when they are resident in, and entering from a third country? Based on your earlier comments I am guessing your husband, who is Thai IIRC, probably entered Japan from the UK. Just hoping to avoid any unforseen issues as my partner has only entered Japan directly from Thailand before. Thanks.

    BJ, I cannot confirm this as the last time we entered Japan was also from Thailand but I don’t think your partner would have any issues entering Japan from a “third country” that he/she is residing in. Most of the time, MOU set-up for visa waiver between two countries focusing in more on the citizens of that country which are the passport holders anyway.
    
    Not a direct comparison but something similar: I used to enter Thailand on a direct flight from the UK using my Cambodian passport.
    
    I used to enter Thailand on a flight from the US using my Cambodian passport.
    
    Another case, I used to enter Japan using a tourist visa issued by the Japanese consular in London on a direct flight from Thailand using my Cambodian passport.
    
    I am sure your partner will be fine. If you are concerned, do write the Japanese consular an email in which I am sure they are more than happy to confirm. I used to write to the one in Edinburgh and they replied at 630pm on a Friday evening! This nation is just the most efficient inside out! 😉
    
    Alternatively, if your partner has a British passport already — he/she can just uses that to enter Japan anyway. That’s our plan for now unless Covid-19 ruins everything! haha.

The Centara Grand did an offer recently with vouchers it worked out to £3100 for two; six nights, all Inc, over water villa with pool, club lounge access and sea plane transfers.
