£40 fee rebate for Virgin Atlantic Reward+ credit card holders

If you are a holder of the Virgin Atlantic Reward+ credit card you are likely to have received an email this week announcing a £40 refund of your £160 annual card fee.

“As a Virgin Atlantic Reward+ Credit Card customer, we know that these last few months, you won’t have been able to take advantage of your Flying Club rewards in the same way.”

It wasn’t clear if this applied to all cardholders or only those renewing soon. This was the wording (emphasis mine):

So we’re refunding £40 of your annual card fee. Just after you’ve paid your fee, you’ll see your refund on your statement. There’s nothing you need to do.

Recent comments from readers suggest it applies to all cardholders, regardless of when you paid your fee. We have had comments from people who applied in January or renewed in the spring and are already seeing the £40 credit on their account.
