  Unless you didnt notice, LCY is full of uber/addison lee/etc etc cab drivers waiting for passengers inside the terminal

    Yes I have, well 31/12/2021 if that’s what you mean (instead of 31/12/2020 which is what it should be based on my earning). Although the choice benefit we were initially promised has never turned up and IHG are now denying they ever said that. AMB also extended for 6 months.

  Weird. I suggested the protection packs in all classes on Rob’s earlier article about BA ‘temporary’ laziness in catering. Could BA actually be reading posts here and sometimes acting on them ? 🙂

  BA should include 2 masks per passenger. At the volume they’d be buying would cost what? 1 cent per passenger? J passengers can have them fur-lined.

      You can get rooms for an average $500 a night, but depends on what time of the year you want to stay.
      Have you tried buying points recently as this can bring great value & no resort fees to pay when booking on points.

  As regards BA personal protection equipment etc – does anyone know whether I can wear a plastic face shield (as you see shop staff wearing) instead of a mask on board the aircraft? I would find one of these much more comfortable if BA allow this.

    Other airlines are refusing this and saying it has to be a mask.

    I will have to start flying again at a certain point even if the alert is not gone by when I realky will need to fly and I’m seriously considering a visor as well as a mask. I too tolerate masks badly and all too aware of the fact that below N95 or N100 and used the undisciplined way most people arw using them, masks are a public confidence measure and definitely not a public health measure.

    I am not an epidemiologist but I think a mask is designed to protect other passengers but a shield protects you.

      Not quite. A mask will only shield you from direct spittle etc coming your way. Air flow will move around it and get to you.

      Most masks protect others from you, and only protect you from others a very little. A few types of masks/respirators help you avoid getting anything yourself. LL was basically right, but a type IIR mask will also have some useful but limited benefit as it is fluid resistant.
