British Airways quietly cuts Langham hotels ‘Voyager’ status benefits for Gold members

British Airways has cut its exclusive Gold member benefits for members who stay at Langham hotels and who enrol in the ‘1865’ loyalty scheme.
As recently as August last year we wrote about the exclusive benefits British Airways Executive Club Gold members got at Langham hotels, including free status.
This was a lesser-known benefit of being BA Gold. Whilst most of the Langham Hospitality Group hotels were in Asia, its namesake is the Langham Portland Place, in London, which Rob reviewed here.
All Executive Club members were able to earn 500 Avios per night.
More interestingly, British Airways Executive Club Gold members were given ‘Voyager’ status for free. This came with 6pm checkout, room upgrade, free internet and a choice of welcome amenity. Voyager is the second highest tier in The Langham’s ‘1865’ loyalty scheme, so it was nothing to be sniffed at.
Unfortuantely, it now looks like that partnership has come to an end. The Langham has been removed from the hotel partners page on ba.com.
The same fate appears to have befallen Mandarin Oriental which also offered little known (even to Mandarin Oriental staff) extra benefits for BA Gold card holders.
