British Airways suspends all flights from London City Airport

  I have a return trip from AMS through City over the London Marathon weekend and have had only the return leg on the sunday cancelled, not the earlier inbound flight on the friday (though I can no longer access seat selection that day either, so maybe its also been cancelled and I have just not received notification)

  The hotel chains that’s probably at the top of everyone’s (no-stay) list has excelled itself at Aviemore.

  The once great Stakis, then Hilton, and finally Britannia Coylumbridge has closed its doors, dismissed all staff and instructed all live-in staff to vacate the premises immediately. Some spent the night in tents in the Highlands last night.

  It’s been widely reported in the Scottish Press if you have a Google.

    And their website is still taking bookings!

    A lot of companies have been caught flat-footed over the need to be able to change the website home page quickly in such situations.

  Just had notification that LHR-BKK has been cancelled on 28th April. They are asking us to call them (really, in the current climate?) to reschedule or refund. I imagine that’ll be half a day in the phone type stuff – the phone number is not obvious either (normal BAEC number?).

  Anyway, this was booked, in Club World, throiugh Avios and a 2 for 1 voucher that expires in May. Will they honour that voucher if i want to reschedule to Jan 2021?

      I had a similar email for flight to India in April. I only waited on hold for 4 minutes when I called yesterday but they refused to entertain my request, saying they are only allowed to speak to people who are travelling in the next 72 hours!

        cancel online yourself for full refund using the method in the latest comments in yesterday’s workaround thread (you need to read the article to undertand about turning Javascript on/off which is easy enough, then scroll through to see my more detailed method, which works fine)

  I have the return part of LHR-HEL TP run next week (Booked two returns, one from LHR and HEL and completed the first part B2B earlier this month). The flights are still running at the moment. What are the chances of them running? BA haven’t cancelled them yet.

  If they don’t cancel them and I decide I don’t want to travel – am I only left with a refund of taxes less the admin fee as I have started my journey on bothe legs and the voucher does not apply?

    Be careful with Mr & Mrs Smith. I looked up a hotel recently on their site, I then went direct to the hotels website to see prices far cheaper than on Mr & Mrs.

    Hotels.com are being brilliant. Booking.com OTOH are being complete sh**s.

    My brother has a couple of hotels booked in the UK – Hilton and Doubletree. Booked through Booking.Com. Booking.Com are not offering a refund, even though Hilton are giving refunds on non refundable bookings.

    People should remember the way these companies are behaving when things return to normal. Hell will freeze over before I give them any business.
