If you are in a pickle due to your domestic travel arrangements unravelling, Hertz has stepped up to the plate with a good offer.

Until the end of March, Hertz has removed all surcharges on one-way car rentals in the UK.

This could be a life saver if you suddenly find that flights have been cancelled at short notice or prices have gone through the roof.  It is also worth considering if you want to avoid crowded trains at this time.

You need to book via a special Hertz UK website which is here.

Assuming that these deals qualify for airline miles, the best deal is to give Hertz your Virgin Flying Club membership numberYou earn 1,000 Virgin Flying Club miles, which I’d value at £10, on every Hertz rental.
