Try your luck with IHG Reward Club’s ‘4th Night Free’ hotel promo

IHG, the hotel group that owns InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn etc is currently running a 4th night free promotion on cash bookings called ‘Members Stay More’.

It is valid for bookings from now until 15th March for stays until 30th September. It is only valid at participating hotels of the following brands: voco, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. You can see the list of participating hotels here.

Unfortunately this offer does not seem to be widespread, despite the long list of participating hotels. I tried several dummy bookings for hotels in South Africa, Italy, Greece and Wales. It was only at the voco St David’s in Cardiff that I spotted a ‘Members Stay More’ rate, and even then it was only during the week and not at the weekend.

Whilst the offer should result in a 25% saving, it only priced £1 cheaper than the advance rate. There is a non-refundable deposit of one night. Given the lack of any ‘real’ saving and no flexibility this seems like a poor promotion, however, your luck may very.
