Run the London Marathon by redeeming your IHG Rewards Club points

Something a little different has appeared on the IHG Auctions website.

IHG has secured two places for the 2020 London Marathon on 26th April – an event which is so popular that places are allocated by ballot – and is offering them for a points auction.

There are two packages – one of which will go for a modest price and one of which will go for a high price.

The cheaper package includes your race place, one night at Holiday Inn London Stratford City (which I reviewed here), a £50 dinner credit, breakfast and coach travel to the race.

The luxury package includes two nights in a deluxe room at InterContinental London O2 (which I reviewed here), a Swedish massage, breakfast and coach travel to the race.

Bids close on 6th January, which will give you around 15 weeks to get in shape.
