We’ve covered the United Airlines Polaris business class seat quite a bit in recent weeks.
First, United added a 5th daily flight between Heathrow and New York Newark, with a guarantee that all five daily flights will have the new Polaris business class seat.
Secondly, as we covered last week, United Airlines confirmed that its Polaris business class seats will be guaranteed on the Heathrow to Chicago route from 15th November.
In the latest piece of news, United has announced a SIXTH daily flight between Heathrow and Newark. This will launch at the start of the Summer flight season on 29th March 2020.
As with the other five flights, it will be a Boeing 767 with Polaris in business class, a Premium Plus (premium economy) cabin and Economy Plus (extended leg-room economy). There will be just 52 ‘standard’ Economy seats.
We recently took a look at Polaris when we were invited for a champagne brunch in the cabin whilst it sat on the tarmac at Heathrow! You can read that report here. I’m hoping to do a full flight review in the Spring.
If you are wondering where the Heathrow slots came from, Business Traveller reports that United’s Star Alliance partner Lufthansa has provided them.
