  The Mercedes F1 factory tour is certainly a great day out, as we did one of their Marriott hosted race viewing events last year. You’ve put McLaren in the article title though!

  OT : me + family just flown to Amman Jordan (redemption) staying in the excellent Marriott (redemption) moving shortly to the Dead Sea Marriott (redemption) then onto Petra (hotels.com part redemption) then to Aqaba IC (redemption). Return flight home is EasyJet for cash. it’s no exaggeration to say this 10 day trip would not be happening but for Rob and the HfP team and the site’s commenter community. Many thanks to all.

      No surprise! It’s an amazing deal, especially when you consider that the last similar McLaren F1 factory tour and dinner required 100,000 HH points!

        I see now that there’s a current offer, still available now, for 110K HH points and includes a “Buffet after the tour”. IMHO, it’s now in very expensive territory compared to previous offers, but no surprise with the past take up rates.

  Anyone received their bonus from the Amex to Hilton recent points transfer offer?
  I have contacted Hilton about 10 days ago and chat agent had no clue,created a case and promise I will soon be contacted
  As usual nothing yet happened and I am about to ask to have the awaiting bonus points lent to make a redemption!

    Did say that the bonus could take up to 8 weeks to appear and I understood it to be targeted so please ensure you still have the email to back up your claim.

    I too am still waiting but its not 8 weeks for me thus far.

    Thanks for the reminder about this.
    I had planned to wait and see how it was reported here, but with only a few days to go I have just done a transfer anyway.
    I do still have the e-mail offer, which should make it easier if it becomes necessary to chase Amex.
    [Also still waiting for 7K HH points to arrive from e-Rewards. They used to be almost instantaneous, but the last transfer took over two months, with a lot of chasing.]

      RussellH, you will find the eRewards transfers can be up to 90 days now for Hilton. Which is a bit of a shocker, happened when the IT was changed at Hilton.

  The problem with the Amex offer is that I will miss out on the triple points by using the Hilton Visa card. Haha

  I think however £50 back on £250 is worth far more!

    Haven’t done this myself, but plenty of evidence suggesting you would not miss out, as long as the Hilton Visa is already on your Hilton account somewhere.

      Anyone spending £250k or so on BA per year should have a deal.

    Good to see BA let you run it Rob. In the email I got, it did encourage promotion within friends and family. Maybe they updated their guidance… Would be quite hard to police though.

      No, that’s not what it meant. If you read the website, the T&C’s strictly say that the booker must work for a company with a corporate deal. You CAN share it with friends and family – IF they travel with you!
