    I struggled but ended up booking a return in august in the phone. I also managed to book a one way LGW to AYT on line.

    I had issues booking an Avios ticket online too yesterday so booked on the phone. Apparently the website is erroring for lots of people so they’ve been very busy with phone bookings and waiving phone booking fees!

    Give them a call – they were very helpful yesterday.

        Re hotels, not a points redemption but Barut Lara has served us well with the children. For adults the Barut acanthus and cennet was very impressive.

          There is very little for kids to do at acanthus. I don’t think there’s even a kids club. It seems more geared for adults. There’s a kids room which is small in my opinion by all standards of all inc resorts we’ve experienced.
          It is definitely an amazing resort though with great architecture, just nothing my kids were interested in.

          For barut Lara try to download the app too. They have a schedule of activities on their app. I am not aware of other resorts that have this but would love to know if there are other equally good resorts I can try.

  Looks like you can’t apply online so no way of finding out the T&Cs easily, but on the face of it the fee seems to cover about 25 replacement cards.

  OT: I cancelled my Amex Platinum a couple of days ago. Realsiing now that I should have made a hotel booking using their FHR programme. I can still log-in so would I still be able to use it and pay with another Amex? If yes, could someone confirm I will still get my Hilton loyalty points. Thanks

    You’ll need to pay your bill at the hotel with your platinum card to get the FHR benefits.

      I believe the rule is you need to pay the bill with an Amex held by the same Cardmember as the Platinum Card, it doesn’t actually need to be that card itself.

      It will normally show it on the main page are you sure it’s FHR rate and not one of the others

      You will only get points on the FHR rate not the prepay ones.

      I paid at a hotel booked through FHR in Berlin recently – used my BAPP. They had seen my Platinum though. They said it didn’t matter how I paid, as long as I used an Amex.

  O/T I’m considering using my Tesco points for a Hotel.com booking, seen a nice all inclusive in Corfu for family and price seems competitive as with other sites, is there a limit on what you can use I have around £900 so £2,700 after 3x, the holiday is around £4,000. Thanks

    Also don’t forget that historically taxes needed to be paid in “real” money, not using a Tesco voucher so don’t convert too much and be left wasting CC points (again, assuming this rule hasn’t changed).

    The maximum that can be converted in one transaction is £250 so £750 hotels.com voucher. AND maximum one voucher code per booking, so you will need to split your stay into multiple bookings and then perhaps contact the hotel direct to amalgamate the bookings.
    Remember that the voucher value does not cover any taxes and fees so do not convert more than you need. This Tesco page should have all the info you need – https://secure.tesco.com/clubcard/hotelscom/UK-009591.prd

      Someone few days ago was having issues redeeming his voucher on hotels.com, they mentioned you can’t use the voucher on all hotels. Find out if this hotel accepted the Tesco vocuhers first, try to make a dummy booking, or converting the minimum amount to make sure. That’s a LOT of voucher to risk.

      Thanks guys I had missed the £250 max limit, thought there would be one. Gone are the days when we had 14 nights in Orlando with Virgin, family of 4 School holidays, when you could get 250 points on £6 wine……

  OT- Any recent experience of extending Marriott Travel Package stay certificate?
  Do they still offer 45K points back for category 1-4 stay certificate if you call before expiry?
