Lufthansa has been running some very generous car rental bonuses recently.  This one is not the biggest but, because it is with Hertz, it is one of the easiest to earn.

You need to use a special discount code and promotional code to earn the bonus – full details, and booking, can be done via this special Hertz website.

It is possible that the pricing may be a touch higher using these codes than via other discounts you may qualify for, but certainly for a short rental you should still come out on top.  I would value 3,000 Miles & More miles at £30+ if used for long-haul premium flights, so you are getting an excellent return.

PS. SUBSTANTIALLY more generous is this offer – 6,000 miles for a 3+ day rental with National.  You are less likely to find yourself at a National location, however, but if you can swing it then this is a fantastic return.  You need to book by 31st October for rentals before 30th November.
