  Wouldn’t let me create an AerClub account, went through entire process of filling in personal details etc only to get “Unfortunately we are unable to complete your registration” message. Ideas?

  As the likelihood of me using Aer Lingus is minimal and my reason for signing up is mainly to enter the competition the difficulty in doing so now doesn’t seem worth the time thus far expended and I’d rather forget the whole exercise. . Now, though, I’ve ended up with a (fairy pointless) registration on Aer Lingus site itself, no access tyo AerVlub, and seemingly no obvious way to get Aer Lingus to delete the details they do have. Annnoying to say the least!

    Managed to sign up through a process of trial and error. Turns out that the registration page has some very specific and limiting validations that aren’t made particularly clear.

    1) Remove spaces from the middle of UK postcodes and 2) ‘Area Code’ on phone number (Mobile or Landline) must be 3 figures only, ‘Local Number’ must be no more than 7 figures. These 2 are metioned in the FAQ if you can find it.

    I still had no luck after about 30 minutes of fannying about with Customer Support (who were no use) so in a desperate flash of inspiration I removed the street name from “address Line 1′, leaving just the apartmrnt number and postcode.

    To my surprise, that actually worked! I was then able to log in to the account and put back the street address from the field I had just removed it from. Crazy!
