Avis is now offering its own one-way car rental promotion

On Friday we told you that Europcar has brought back its fantastic £1 car rental promotion.

This allows you to rent a car from Europcar, which needs to be dropped off at a UK airport, for just £1.  Availability is restricted – it depends on what cars Europcar needs moving around the country – but the deals are certainly there.  It is the cheapest way to get to the airport to start your holiday!

Hertz has its own version of this offer, called Hertz One, which you can find here.

Avis has now jumped on the bandwagon, but with a far less generous offer.

As you can see at this website, you can book one-way rentals to UK airports with Avis.  However, the cost is NOT £1.  Instead, Avis is reducing the one-way drop-off fee to just £1.  You pay this ON TOP of the regular rental fee.

It is still a good deal compared to the standard cost of a one-way car rental, but it is not a steal.  There is also no availability at the time of writing but keep the offer in mind for next time you are facing a long-distance airport trip.  You can check Avis availability here.
