4%-5% cashback at Waitrose for American Express cardholders

A cashback offer for Waitrose has appeared on a lot of American Express cards.  If you are targeted it will appear under the ‘Offers’ tab on your online statement page.

The offer seems to vary.

On my Platinum card, I will receive a 5% statement credit when I spend £20+ at Waitrose before 9th October.

On my wife’s Gold card, there is the far worse offer of 4% cashback when you spend £75+.

I’ve no idea why these are so different as both cards are ‘idle’ and not actively used for our normal shopping.

You can use the offer multiple times.  There are some exclusions over concessions etc.
