Last week we wrote about a new Hilton Honors mini-promotion which offers you 7,500 bonus Hilton Honors points from your next two stays before the end of January 2020.

There was a catch – overnight, between our article being written and the article going live, something happened and existing members were unable to register.

This is a slightly odd promotion.  Hilton is openly advertising it on social media.  And yet, the small print says that you should have received an invitation by email in order to register …..

I would register regardless.  The worst that can happen is that you don’t get the points, although – once registered – it will show up under your list of active promotions under ‘My Offers’ as you can see from my account (click to enlarge):

People who registered last week, before registration stopped working, HAVE been receiving the points on stays in the last few days.

I value a Hilton Honors point at 0.33p, so you are looking at £25-worth of bonus points across your next two stays.  This is on top of your standard base points and the current ‘double points’ bonus, which makes the whole thing pretty lucrative.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (December 2021)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

You can also earn Hilton Honors points indirectly with American Express Gold (20,000 bonus points), the American Express Rewards Credit Card (5,000 bonus points) and – for small business owners – American Express Business Gold (20,000 bonus points) and Business Platinum (40,000 bonus points).
