Today is the last chance to book the current Virgin Atlantic Upper Class flash sale.

You must book seven days in advance of travel and fly out, at the latest, by 30th September.  10th October is your last day to fly home.  A Saturday night stay is required.

Upper Class deals to the East Coast include:

Last day for VIrgin Atlantic USA sale

Other destinations are included but are pricier.  Our full article is here.  Virgin’s pages describing Upper Class are here and the Heathrow Clubhouse is outlined here.  You can book on the Virgin Atlantic site here.

To maximise your miles when paying, your best bet is one of the two Virgin Atlantic Reward credit cards.  These earn double miles (3 per £1 on the paid card or 1.5 per £1 on the free card) when you book at virginatlantic.com or via Virgin Holidays

Another option is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold which offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.

The VA sale does have some good offerings. However…on our next trip, we’re travelling out in PE and back in Upper. Before the sale, upgrades to Upper were @£800: after the sale started the upgrade jumped to @£2300. The latter is £600 more than their Upper return sale fare. I am a loyal VA customer (and go Gold for life in 2021 if I stick with them) and I know there are advantages to booking in advance (which we have to do) but this is disappointing, to say the least
