Save up to 25% at Hilton hotels in South East Asia, Australasia, Japan, Korea and Greater China

Hilton is currently running an APAC sale to celebrate its 100th anniversary.  This covers hotels across South East Asia, Australasia, Japan, Korea and Greater China.

Discounts are up to 25% off the Best Available Rate.  There is an additional discount for logged-in Hilton Honors members, except in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

The new Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is included, image below, as is the – more affordable – brand new Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.

As always with Hilton sales, your room will be non refundable and requires pre-payment.  This means that the 25% discount is not a genuine one because you would usually save 10% anyway by pre-paying.  You should still see an additional saving, however.

You need to book by 6th September for stays until 29th February.

The Hilton APAC sale site is here.

Can you get the 25% offer with a points equivalent? or is it 25% off cash purchases only?

  • GJ says:

OT – Any chance we’ll see another decent Iberia deal this summer? I’m looking to fly to Mexico City in November and regretting not snapping up the earlier €999 offer! 🙂

    • Andreas says:

I think as a cash fare that was pretty much a once in a lifetime occasion, especially leaving from Spain; we never see those kinds of fares here! We went for it as they even let me hold the tickets for 24hrs before paying…. off to Mexico next week.

  • Rui N. says:

OT: any recommendations on luxury hotels in Oxforshire or surrounding areas (we are in Didcot, anything less than 1 hour drive would be preferable) for one night stay to celebrate the wife’s birthday in October? Anything cheaper than the Belmond please!

    • SimonW says:

Cliveden, or the new Monkey Island hotel, both under an hour, back towards London

      • Rob says:

Tempted to try Monkey Island, bookable on Hyatt points.

        • John says:

          If only for the name.

        • SimonW says:

Is it really? I had no idea. I remember going there over the wobbly bridge 25 years ago for a wedding party. V tempted to give it a go too.

          • Rob says:

Yes, its part of Small Luxury Hotels. Really good value – I looked at a couple of Sat nights and it was 25k vs £375. Worth buying the Hyatt points actually if there is a promo on.

          • SimonW says:

Or, make a booking for Sunday 25th August. They havent noticed Monday is a bank holiday. Quoting £275 a night.

    • Nick Burch says:

The Heythrop Park near Enstone is no longer a Crowne Plaza, but was pretty good when we last went pre-deflagging, especially if you can get a room in the old part.

Otherwise, you ought to be able to get to the Langley in under an hour 🙂

  • Liam says:

OT — I know that Avios bookings on BA can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the flight for a full Avios refund. Is the same true of Avios bookings on Iberia (via Iberia.com)?

    • marcw says:

Yes and no. Yes on Iberia, Iberia Express, Air Nostrum and British Airways operated flights – 24h before scheduled departure 25 EUR. On all other partners, redemptions are non-refundable.

    • Optimus Prime says:

Yes. You have to call though, can’t be done online.

  • Sarah says:

OT – Anyone know how long it takes points to post for the BA wine offer?

  • Ben says:

Does anyone have the Avis AWD to hand for the Amex Plat card? I have signed up for the account etc but cant find the code.

    • Rich says:

I believe you have to call Avis to have it added. They hardcode it into your profile. It took me ages to do because the online system is set up on the assumption that you’re creating a new Avis profile.

  • Chelseafi says:

O/T bit of advice on how BA HotLine tickets work, if price is better are there any downsides to them?

    • Rob says:

No OnBusiness points. Not sure about Avios and tier points?

      • Spaghetti Town says:

You certainly get Avios and Tier Points ( did last September anyway). You basically get a slightly discounted fare through hotline and is usually cheaper than whatever BA’s main website is offering.

    • Qrfan says:

You can’t upgrade them with avios.

    • Nick says:

Hotlines are quota controlled for the person issuing them, but can be given to friends and family. Avios and TP as normal, no OnBusiness – and crucially (for HFP!) no UUA or op-ups are permitted (AUPs are fine if available though). Bags always included – which means that HBO publicly is sometimes (not always) cheaper. The scheme is due to change imminently, no word (yet) if it’s for better or for worse, it’s closely guarded for the moment at least.

  • Alex W says:

Isn’t it false advertising to say it’s 25% off when it isn’t? Should be illegal.
