Qatar Airways has announced a new ‘book direct’ offer for its ‘Super Wi-Fi’ service.
‘Super Wi-Fi’ is Qatar’s branding for Inmarsat’s GX Aviation high-speed broadband technology. This is being rolled out on the Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 fleet and is apparently fast enough to allow you to stream videos in the air.
Due to the additional bandwidth available, all passengers – even in Economy – receive one hour of free wi-fi on these services. Additional time can be purchased if required.
However, if you book your flight directly at qatarairways.com before 30th August, for flights until 30th November, you will receive UNLIMITED free ‘Super Wi-Fi’ on your flight.
The offer is restricted to QR006 and QR008 from London Heathrow to Doha (and QR005 / QR007 on the return) as these are the only services which are guaranteed to have the service. A special code will be appear on your booking confirmation which needs to be used in-flight when you log in.
