Last call to convert your Shell Drivers Club points to Avios

Here is your final reminder that Shell Drivers Club closes down today, 30th June.

It isn’t entirely clear what happens to your points if you do not transfer them to Avios by tonight:

ba.com was saying that you had to transfer them by tomorrow (although all reference to Shell has now been deleted) 

the Shell Drivers Club website says that points not redeemed by Sunday will not be lost

These statements are not contradictory, of course.  I am guessing that you will still be able to cash out Shell Drivers Club points for a discount at a Shell garage after today, but that transfers to partners will not be possible.

Shell Drivers Club is being replaced by the ‘not points based’ Shell Go+ loyalty scheme which we covered here.
