A new Aspire lounge is opening at Edinburgh Airport.

A few weeks we did an article on all of the new UK airport lounges which are due to open in H2 2019.

It turns out that we missed one.  Aspire is currently building a second lounge at Edinburgh Airport.

It will be down by Gate 16 and is scheduled to open in August / September.  It isn’t clear if it will be branded as Club Aspire, Aspire or something else.  The current Aspire lounge is remaining, but will close for a refurbishment once the new site is open.

Edinburgh is now looking a bit ‘over lounged’ but, given the sprawling nature of the terminal, it potentially makes sense.  I can imagine that there are people who currently have access but simply don’t bother because they don’t want to be too far from their gate.
