Lufthansa is launching flights to Newcastle – but not from Frankfurt

Lufthansa has announced a daily flight from Newcastle to its second hub at Munich.

It will launch on 3rd February.  The timings are not hugely practical, with the outbound leaving Newcastle at 13.40, arriving at 16.40.

The return leaves Munich at 11.50, arriving at 12.55.

That said, if you live in North East it opens up a new option for Star Alliance redemptions via a connection in Munich which has to be positive.
