British Airways cabin crew member Amy Hart will appear on Love Island

There is a British Airways cabin crew member on Love Island ….

We are probably barking up the wrong tree here in terms of what appeals to the HfP readership, but if you tune into Love Island on ITV next week you will see a Gatwick-based British Airways Customer Service Manager featured.

(EDIT: it seems that she may have left BA to do this, although Love Island talks about her crew role in the present tense.)

British Airways Amy Hart Love Island

26 year old Amy Hart, pictured below, is one of the new contestants trying to find love for the next two months.  You are more likely to recognise her from the photo below than the one above.

Given the shenanigans that happen on Love Island I’m sure the British Airways PR team are keen to keep this quiet, although they may be fighting a losing battle.  Amy has already told the tabloids about accompanying Piers Morgan on a flight and her Instagram feed includes a link to her agent ….

If you’re desperate to keep up (and I know you are) Love Island starts Monday at 9pm on ITV.

OT: What number should we call for Hilton Honors from the UK. TIA.

  • Liam says:

OT — What’s the consensus on the best way of spending abroad now that the Lloyds Amex/Mastercard combo has bitten the dust? I currently have a Curve (free account), with a Virgin Atlantic Mastercard as the underlying card, and a Revolut.

    • Ding Dong says:

if you want points then use Curve if your not bothered then use a fx free card

      • Michael says:

You’ll pay 1% on curve foreign exchange at weekends so earning the points cancels itself out.

    • Waddle says:

Load tour Revolut with your Virgin card earning points then use Revolut during the week to exchange to your desired currency when the rate is good to secure best exchange then. spend that newly-exchanged money. Or if the rate is good during your trip, use Curve backed by your Virgin card during the week and the already-exchanged cash on your Revolut during the weekend.

  • Lady London says:

Hum. Question for the blokes here : which one of the two photos above would you rather go out with?

    • Daniel says:

Definitely a crude, perhaps unrequired question….

But 100% the second one. Not a doubt in my mind.

    • the_real_a says:

      Second one no doubt…

    • Mike says:

Lady London – Second one. I live in the North – I couldn’t date a girl in a bikini – she’d freeze to death !!

    • Shoestring says:

obvs the second one, hard to believe it’s the same girl

innocent, young & pleasant vs trash

is that what Love Island ends up doing to people? turns them into prostitutes overnight?

good job I wouldn’t watch that junk

      • Cat says:

Now, now Shoestring, it’s 2019. If a young lady wants to wear a bikini and makeup, she should be able to do so without being called a prostitute

      • Lady London says:

I suppose second one could be from 5 years or so ago, perhaps when just starting out as cabin crew?

    • Ding Dong says:

Number 2 for the day and Number 1 for the night!

    • Lumma says:

I worked with a girl who went on love island later, when we worked together I always thought she was one of the most beautiful women I ever met.

Her social media photos these days I don’t even find remotely attractive

  • Optimus Prime says:

OT – Revolut has updated its iPhone app and now it works with Apple Pay.

    • Chas says:

Brilliant OP – thanks. I tried a few days ago and it didn’t work, so I wouldn’t have tried again for quite some time. I now have a points earning non-Amex alternative for Apple Pay 😎

  • DEE says:

Not sure if anyone has already commented on this but if you go via google flights BA are undercutting Etihad for the same Dates with outbound flights to the end of August…..I got BA club world returns yesterday for £1,139. Also some dates for the Maldives with Etihad are pricing up on their site at £1,611!

  • Michael says:

OT: Where have all the clubcard promotions gone? There is literally nothing these days.

  • Anna says:

Therapist in the Elemis spa just told me they are trialling paid treatments at £10 for 15 minutes, apparently it’s going down like the proverbial lead balloon!

    • Jill (Kinkell) says:

Well, there’s a surprise. I’ve twice managed to book treatments, and found they are a bit cursory- wasn’t expecting much and was therefore not disappointed! Didn’t bother on last trip.
How was your trip to the spa?

      • Anna says:

You don’t get much done in15 minutes but it was a nice refreshing mini facial between flights. OH got samples, I didn’t!

Just boarded and the cabin crew knew it was my birthday. I actually like 2A very much, I can talk to my OH when I need to be it feels very spacious because of the aisle width between us. Sadly neither of the pax in row 1 turned out to be Mick Fleetwood 😂

        • Kipto says:

Good job otherwise there wouldn’t be any champagne left for you 🤔

    • Alex W says:

I got one and they tried to fob me off with an aggressive massage chair. Felt like I’d been assaulted!

      • Mark2 says:

+1 I had to ask them to stop it. t felt like it would rip off m calf muscles.

  • Shoestring says:

I thinik AMEX25OFF is back again – just got offered it on my Amz purchase – I won’t be eligible as I used it before

£40 of sold by Amazon items, use some Amex MR points as part-payment & the rest on your Gold/ Green/ Plat charge card

    • Nick M says:

Typical… bought an expensive item the other day, £25 off would have take the sting out of it!

    • Craig says:

How long does it take for points to appear as an option when you add the card?

      • Stu N says:

        Should be instant.

Code isn’t working for me though, even on “sold by amazon” items.

        • rams1981 says:

          Not working for me either

          • Shoestring says:

OK sorry but was worth mentioning in passing?

I’ve once had £25 credit awarded by Chat when this promotion was offered to me but failed to complete, maybe that is also worth mentioning

Amz Chat people seem to have a lot of leeway with compo

      • Craig says:

Completely forgot that you have to enrol the card, not working for me though.

    • MoJack says:

How did you get offered it if youre not eligible…?

      • Shoestring says:

When I went to checkout, it popped up as a promotion

I did actually try to use it by adding some items to go over £40 but computer sez no as I expected

got 2 of these for £15 each (less my 15% Amazon discount of course) Oral-B Pro 600 CrossAction Electric Toothbrush = c.£13, should be useful as spares

        • Shoestring says:

you can sell the power leads for £10 very easily – only so many power leads a family of 5 needs! – making the toothbrush £3
