British Airways cabin crew member Amy Hart will appear on Love Island

There is a British Airways cabin crew member on Love Island ….

We are probably barking up the wrong tree here in terms of what appeals to the HfP readership, but if you tune into Love Island on ITV next week you will see a Gatwick-based British Airways Customer Service Manager featured.

(EDIT: it seems that she may have left BA to do this, although Love Island talks about her crew role in the present tense.)

British Airways Amy Hart Love Island

26 year old Amy Hart, pictured below, is one of the new contestants trying to find love for the next two months.  You are more likely to recognise her from the photo below than the one above.

Given the shenanigans that happen on Love Island I’m sure the British Airways PR team are keen to keep this quiet, although they may be fighting a losing battle.  Amy has already told the tabloids about accompanying Piers Morgan on a flight and her Instagram feed includes a link to her agent ….

If you’re desperate to keep up (and I know you are) Love Island starts Monday at 9pm on ITV.

The BA CSM featuring on Love Island is no longer employed by BA.

  • Anon says:

Last year there was also a cabin crew participant – Laura who I think used to work for Emirates.

      • Shoestring says:

If the other one is our Plat supp, people get away with 4x

    • AndyW says:

Thanks. Flight is like 7.10 am so we probably won’t spend enough for 4.. but its worth a go..

      • bsuije says:

You can buy things to take onto the plane, unless they’ve clamped down on that…?

        • Tom H says:

Yep i did it a few weeks ago, ate then paid with PP then went got some food for the flight for the kids with PP again, no problems at all

          • Bonglim says:

Tried this (in the USA) once and they were having none of it!

Looks like most people have success at The Grain Store though.

    • Steve says:

I’ve heard restaurant credit like this is being pulled from PP in August…

  • Gavin says:

This whole post is totally non-U

Just lounging on a day bed in the Concorde room with a glass of LPGS before our first F flight to JFK….possibly the best birthday ever! The culmination of 2 years of following HFP 🥂🎉 ✈️ Spooky fact, it’s also JFK’s birthday (the president, not the airport!)

    • Cat says:

Happy birthday Anna (and JFK)! Have an incredible time in the CCR, on the flight and in NYC!

      • Anna says:

Thanks Cat, I was terrified we’d get delayed at MAN today of all days but we actually landed 10 minutes early for the first time ever 😃

        • Anna says:

Happily I enjoy the very British genetic trait of being able to enjoy alcohol upon entering an airport at at any time of day. 😂

          • Catalan says:

Happy Birthday Anna. Enjoy the experience.

          • Cat says:

Of course! I always think you’re between time zones at an airport, so any time of day is acceptable drinking time.

          • Lumma says:

Careful if you’re on a day flight back from JFK, they don’t open the booze fridges till 8am!

        • Stu N says:

Have a great birthday and flight, Anna.

Cat – I like that logic. Works for us, even on a domestic.

    • Darren says:

Happy Brithday, have a lovely time (gotta love LPGS)

    • Lady London says:

      Happy birthday Anna

      • Anna says:

Thanks – Mick Fleetwood is currently playing the piano!

        • Mike says:

Go one tell him its your birthday today – and see if he will play you a song (she who dares !)

        • Cat says:

What? Seriously? I’m very jealous right now!

    • Mike says:

Happy Birthday ! Enjoy your day

    • Tilly says:

Happy Birthday Anna! Hope you enjoy the whole experience 🥂🍾

  • Metty says:

I’ve found that redeeming Etihad miles on AA transcons is rather good, especially as the previous tricks that let a J fare book into F disappeared. The miles required for both Business and First still show on the redemption chart as 25k. ‘Premium’ is on the chart as 32.5k too, but when I booked JFK-LAX a few months ago I was charged 25k for First. I’m aware from forum chat that AA seem to be tightening up on some redemptions, so maybe this won’t last….

    • Jonathan says:

Interesting. Not sure i see the fuss about F over J on the Transcons, in fact if you’re a couple J is far better. The only reason it was worth playing the old “free” upgrade game was for the extra Tier Points, on a redemption I’d be perfectly happy for J & definitely wouldn’t pay any extra for F.

  • Anna says:

Overheard at the bar in the CCR:
American lady, “Can I get a glass of Prosecco?”
Barman, “We don’t have Prosecco, madam, only Champagne.”

    • Frenske says:

Poor service there. In general I prefer prosecco over champagne especially in the summer.

      • Lady London says:

Depends on which champagne. I tasted a few mouth-curlingly sour Proseccos before I gave it up. I admit a bad Champagne can be just as bad though.

Any airline that feeds me Krug has a good chance of any business I am able to give it.

    • Mike says:

Anna – do keep us updated with your travel experience.

      • Lyn says:

Yes, do please us updated Anna. Hope you have a wonderful birthday and holiday.
