Malaysia Airlines is running a UK sale this week in both Economy and Business.

You can book until 8th May for travel between:

Economy:

  • now and 4th July
  • 27th August to 5th December
  • 9th January to 31st March 2020

Business:

  • 2nd May to 31st March 2020

Malaysia Airlines sale

It is worth a look because you earn Avios and British Airways tier points when you fly with Malaysia Airlines as both are members of the oneworld alliance.  The sale pricing is here.

Don’t forget the current Lufthansa and SWISS Business and First Class sale, however, which is substantially more aggressive to destinations where both airports fly.  Click here for that deal.   You need two travellers for the Lufthansa / SWISS deals and of course you won’t earn any Avios or tier points.

As well as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Airlines has good connections to Australia, Thailand, Bali, the Philippines and elsewhere in Asia.  There are two daily departures from Heathrow Terminal 4 at 10.25 and 21.25.

You can find out more about their seats in my A350 aircraft tour review which also includes a bit of video.  You can also learn more about the A350 seating on this page of the airline website.  I reviewed the Malaysia Airlines Heathrow lounge here.

Your best option to maximise your miles when paying is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold.  This offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.  Our review of Amex Gold is here.
