British Airways adds lounges access at eight European airports

  Flew to Tallinn at the beginning of March, before an onward flight to Helsinki. There is an executive lounge at the airport, but BA passengers are not entitled to use it though. We were pre-warned by the BA booking centre themselves, that BA wouldn’t pay the fees demanded by the operator.

  Fortunately though I hold a Lounge Pass & therefore was able to spend a comfortable couple of hours in the facility. Won’t win any awards, but it was large (compared to the overall terminal size), warm (it was apparently -10 outside that day) and as there was only ever a maximum of 8 passengers using it, nice & relaxed.

    It has a nice outdoor terrace too! Perhaps more appealing in the summer than in early March… Fortunately AY does pay for its passengers to use the lounge in Tallinn.

  I wouldn’t consider LCY as having much of a lounge, as it requires BA passengers to pay a fairly steep fee…

  Paphos Airport – BA access was available in April 2019, we used it. Not particularly special, but acceptable range of sandwichesand good selection of wine and spirits. A haven of peace from the crowded departure lounge…..

  Gran Canaria has a lounge but no BA access. If you have status or flying business you’ll be given vouchers instead. If you have an Maex Plat you can use the lounge (very quiet) and use the vouchers to buy food at the airport. 🙂

  Just to let everyone know there is a Skyserv lounge at Heraklion which looks brand new. It’s on the first floor after passport control opposite the Goldair Lounge. There is a selection of wine and spirits, coffee, Mythos and soft drinks. There are also some confectionery and a few snacks. Don’t starve yourself in anticipation but much nicer than sitting in the main airport.

  There’s no BA lounge in Pula, although there did appear to be a lounge available in the terminal, but wasn’t open when I was last there in September.
