Happy Christmas to you and your family. I hope you enjoy a well deserved break, wherever in the world you are.

Do please post below if your travels have taken you anywhere exciting this Christmas.  I am in London, Anika is with her newly acquired relatives.

Head for Points is taking a two day break. We will be back on Thursday 27th with a review of my travel highlights and lowlights of 2018.

If you want something to read in the meantime, take a look under the ‘Favourite Articles‘ tab where you will find my pick of the most relevant pieces published in 2018, including our (to be updated next month) ‘Avios Redemption University‘ series and all of our credit card reviews.

Thank you for your support over the past year.

Happy Boxing Day to one and all from the Serengeti-three hours drive to the nearest village – but better WiFi than in Hampstead

For anyone wanting a 2-4-1 safari, go to Nairobi then a 1hr hop to Kilimanjaro and away you go.. the greatest concentration of wildlife on earth.
Thanks for all the tips and suggestions Rob.
    Asante

That’s what I did for my first 2-4-1 – I flew an old school friend out with me in First, then back in Club World. I think we flew to Arusha though, spent a week on Safari, and then we spent 10 days on Zanzibar. The wildlife was just incredible, and we got through quite a lot of Champagne on the plane!

We are doing this in Sept but with an organised tour rather than an independent trip.

I can’t believe you read all of the many repeat articles such as which is the best credit card etc that haven’t changed in content since 6 months earlier.

Speaking personally I scan the article topics but only read the ones that provide new information. For that reason there are many of the three daily emails that I never even open and where the subject alone is enough to tell me I am not part of the target audience for that communication.

Becuase sometimes you notice something you have forgot which is now relevant.

Yep, lots of useful bits and bobs often come up in the comments which wouldn’t be obvious from just reading the articles (and in bits often totally unrelated!)

      • TGLoyalty says:

Absolutely. My bedtime routine reading the comments in here for gems.
