I’m delighted to announce that Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Money will be sponsoring the 2018 Head for Points Christmas Party, taking place on Tuesday night.
All 250 tickets are now sold out, unfortunately. Apologies to everyone who couldn’t get one.
Thanks to the generosity of both sponsors, all guests will now receive their first drink for free.
Virgin Atlantic has had a good year ….. we’ve covered:
The launch of the new Virgin Atlantic credit cards, issued by Virgin Money, which have proved very popular with HfP readers (and don’t forget you still have seven days left to get the higher bonus of 10,000 miles on the free card and 25,000 miles on the Plus card):
The launch of the new Eric Lanlard afternoon tea service, both in the Clubhouse and in the air (read more here):
The launch of the new Donal Skehan dishes on the Upper Class and Clubhouse menus (read more here):
The new Economy Delight seating option, which – as this article explains – offers exceptional value for money in my view because of the huge number of additional miles you earn:
And, as we covered in our other article today, the first of the refurbished ex-Air Berlin A330-200 aircraft have just entered service this week with new Upper Class and Premium seats. Whilst Virgin never expected to be flying these aircraft, the engine issues facing the new 787-9 fleet has meant that Virgin had to act fast to keep flying. This new product should do the job and it will be found mainly on the Caribbean routes.
2019 will see the arrival of the first brand new Airbus A350 to the Virgin Atlantic fleet and with it a brand new Upper Class seat to take the airline forward into the new decade.
Did I hear you mention ‘more raffle prizes’ too?
You certainly did. I’m pleased to announce some great additional raffle prizes to add to the existing list. This is what is new:
Plaza Premium – TWO pairs of two lounge passes for any Plaza Premium Heathrow lounge, including Terminal 5
Air New Zealand – a crate of wine
Heathrow Express – a pair of return Business First tickets
I can also confirm one other prize where we didn’t have the details earlier in the week:
ANA (All Nippon Airways) – a model plane and £100 John Lewis / Waitrose voucher
These are on top of the prizes already announced:
Heathrow Rewards – FOUR prizes of 10,000 Heathrow Rewards points, convertible into a £100 shopping voucher or 10,000 Avios or other airline miles
REAL Transfers – return Mercedes transfer to Heathrow, Gatwick or London City from within the M25 or if outside the M25 £100 credit to use on trips either starting within the M25 or ending within the M25

…. so we’re up to 21 prizes now.
If you have a ticket, myself, Rhys (who has done a great job so far in putting the event together in Anika’s extended absence) and the Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Money teams look forward to seeing you on Tuesday night.
