BA Black Friday deal: book two Club World business class tickets for £2018 over Christmas

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

Between today and Monday 26th November, British Airways is selling two Club World seats to selected destinations for £2018.  That’s just £1009 return per person.

You cannot book for one person at these rates.  However, it does seem to work for three and other odd numbers.

The deal is only valid for selected destinations.  I was genuinely surprised to see Abu Dhabi as the Middle East is normally very busy over Christmas anyway.

BA Black Friday deals

And try BA Holidays …..

These deals are often even cheaper if you add a hotel or car hire via BA Holidays.  Go to this Club World page of the BA Holidays site and check the pricing before you book ‘flight only’.

BA Holidays is also running its own Black Friday bonus.  For ‘flight + hotel’ or ‘flight + car ‘ holidays booked for travel between 1st December 2018 and 20 October 2019 you will:

  • Save £100 on holidays with a minimum spend of £2,500 per booking
  • Save £50 on holidays with a minimum spend of £1,250 per booking

BA Holidays can be booked here.  Flight-only deals can be booked at ba.com here.

To maximise your miles when paying, your best bet is the British Airways American Express Premium Plus card which earns double Avios (3 per £1) when you book at ba.com or via BA Holidays.  You do not get double Avios if you book with the free British Airways American Express card.  Another option is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold which offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.

Thanks Rob for the “heads up”! Just booked to go to Vegas for Xmas. Happy days!

  • Anna says:

Are there good deals on hotels though over this period? No use getting cheap flights if you’re getting gouged for accommodation.

  • Didi says:

What’s up with the delay? It’s already 1:30 pm and still no email from BA and nothing on their website???

  • Nick_C says:

Availability not as good as previous years. And interestingly, the cheap fares are only on BA metal. I’ve used this sale for last minute flights to the US on AA in previous years. Picked up a dirt cheap cruise out of MIA on one occasion which tied in perfectly.

Still some great deals though. Thanks for highlighting it Rob.

  • MR says:

Glad the brought back the 2 for £2k but disappointed that they are excluding the 1st week in January this year!

  • Mike says:

    Virgin Atlantic somewhat following…

All from London and for 2 UC passengers:

A few dates mid-Jan to MCO for £2600.
A few dates mid-Jan to MIA for £2020.
ATL, BOS & NYC is coming in at £2000 over Christmas / New Year Period.
Minimal flights to IAD for £2020 between Christmas and New Year.
SFO £3,000 on minimal dates .

Curve Amex Beta not working on Andriod download App on update fails , anyone had success on Samsung on this >?

    • Nick Taylor says:

Worked for me on a Google Pixel – though it wouldn’t update the existing app, I had to delete my existing app and then install.

However, it’s crashing when I try to add the card.

      • Nick says:

        Now fixed with an update!

        • Lee says:

What do people think of the 0.65% fee for amex on curve after using your 1k allowance on the black card ?

          • Rob says:

Cheap Avios if you purely look at that, but arguably you should factor in whatever reward you’d get (with no fee) linking to a reward Visa or MC.

  • Harshaw Paruchuri says:

cant seem to find these deals to Fort Lauderdale at all. not on BA website nor an any OTA. any help/suggestions please ?

    • RJM says:

Look like Fort not an option on now as very specific dates and no availability .
far from ideal i know but try Tampa. Looks good still from
      there on selected dates.
