British Airways has put through some inflation-busting price increases for its ‘buy on board’ tea and coffee.
The new menu is online here. The January 2017 menu is in this HfP article here.
Tea and coffee have gone up from £2.30 to £2.45, an increase of 6.5% in 18 months.
Avios pricing has jumped up even more. Tea or coffee is now 350 Avios, up 17% from the old price of 300 Avios. The value you get per Avios will fall from 0.77p to 0.7p.
To be fair, other pricing generally remains unchanged. It looks as if the plan to roll out free tea and coffee to British Airways Executive Club status members, which was trialled on a handful of flights earlier in the year, has been dropped.
