There are similar packages on the SPG Moments site. It isn’t clear if these use separate availability (in which case check both sites) or if they are effectively selling the same seats.

Based on Rob’s valuation of 0.5p per Marriott point, you are “paying” £225 for the hospitality package. That is £112 per person for the ticket, gift and food and drink throughout the day, which sounds good to me.

      Thanks, will get a look at mine later. Hopefully there is still a possibility to make one or two stays worth doing. IHG seriously need to do something with their bottom end hotels though, both cash prices and redemptions are generally way to high. HI and HIX are often substantially more expensive than nearby Hilton group properties so it is difficult to justify staying at them as Hilton generally better and with more perks.

      Mine not as bad as I was expecting: 63200 plus up to 15000 double points requiring minimum 4 nights across two weekends staying at 3 different brands with two stays on bonus point rates. Hence, 16,000+ bonus points per night if I decide to do it. Another way of looking at it is stay 4 get 4x 15k nights free, or spend about £200 get a £350+ IC night free…guess I’ll have to do it, even if mattress runs 🙂

OT – does anyone know, if I book long haul inbound redemption flights at 1 am when they are released, will BA add regional connections to the booking a day later when those are released? I would book them separately but don’t want the hassle of collecting and re-checking luggage due to separate PNRs.

    Yes – no problem, I’ve done it several times without issues. You have to phone up, if you do it within 24 hours of adding the long haul inbound then it’s a free change/ cancellation within 24h of booking.
    
    Beyond that, you might have to push the line that you can’t do it online to get the £35pp fee waived but they should waive it no problem.

      I sound like a broken record, however its not a flat 24 hours… its 24 hours + anytime until the UK call center opens again. This is specifically called out in the T&C`s so you can call up at 8am the next day without paying the £35 fee.

      Just to be clear, the situation I have experience of is
      – booking at t-355 for a long haul inbound and it’s an overnight flight into London
      – The domestic leg would be the following day, so not available at the point you book the long haul
      
      In this situation BA will waive the change fee completely. First time I did this, I phoned a few days later to add the domestic. Agent was able to waive the fee and offline service fee, but said it’s easier if you add the domestic within ~24 hours as it is automatically free to change then. Hope this helps.

OT: I did not know about IHG Rewards Club Access. They’ve got some interesting packages for the points rich. I only became aware of it when logging into my IHG/Creation account, which incidentally I think I’ll close as I don’t feel I get the benefit of the black card.
