  Def name tags. Was weird not being able to identify regular lot..even tho we found each other. Would have been nice to. Agree pay more and have canapes. Really great evening tho all round. Tnx Lev for directions to tube station! Don’t know that area v well.

  I only bought the one flight in Jan for just over £20 as it definitely seemed too good to be true so no hardship. Was considering actually taking it and flying Ryanair down to PMI and back from MAD.

  Got the email about sending in the docs I used to sign up for my account, so sent a passport scan even though I never used that in the first place.
  Account is locked out at present.

  Ideally wanted the account to take advantage of the cheap buying of Avios offers that have appeared a couple of times recently (where you need it open for 90 days etc).

  Never flown IB before and it’s unlikely after this that I ever will. Sure it’s a small amount, but it’s on principal and neither of us would miss each other anyway.

  I’ve just had all my 10 Iberia tickets cancelled. Received (and spent) my 90000 Avios already.

    Sure – we know why IB are cancelling the tickets – inconsistencies they say = ‘fraud’ = or just an excuse to cancel the 90K points. Up to now just applies to new a/cs but let’s wait & see. I take it yours was a new a/c? Interesting to see how yours pans out – will they now cancel your reward flights or will you get them for free (because you got a refund on your 10 tickets).

        There are a couple confirmed but they can’t use the 90K points until ID check given OK

  I have just sent docs to verify identity – it is a new account set up for the avios deal. I have not sent copies of the 10 tickets yet, as I wanted to know if anybody had found a work around, or had persuaded Iberia there were no “inconsistencies” . This is where power of internet, and forums such as this should help us push back against these kind of sharp practices by the carriers.

  Surely IB need to specifiy the inconsistencies, as we all took advantage of the offer in good faith.

  If you book a avios flight on Iberia do you have a 24 hour cooing off period as BA
