This is how many Avios you can earn when taking out a policy:

  • Seat54 says:

You do like to promote them, however I ended up going elsewhere when they never bothered replying, tried them twice for different business insurances, got as far as sending them copies of my renewal notices from existing supplier to see if they would match or get somewhere close, but gave up chasing them.

    • Alan Boswell Group says:

Hi Seat54, can you let me have Details to Avios@alanboswell.com and I’ll investigate as this shouldn’t happen and I will gladly offer you some Avios if we have made errors. Regards simon

  • TripRep says:

Thanks Rob, easy prize draw to enter with no requirement to get an insurance quote.

Perfectly suitable and accessible promotion. 🙂

  • Gabriel Stama says:

    Hi Rob
Can you confirm that the Channel Islands are included?
It is always a tricky presumption!

  • Will says:

I think there are other comments about customer service.

Great that they are offering amazing Avios but can you highlight their customer service Rob/Anika (like you have for Lloyds). It is fairly non existent.

It’s not good having to wait weeks for confirmation of direct debit. This is a timely reminder to chase them re. a DD that was supposed to start in December. Still haven’t made any payments so no idea whether my company is technically insured! Not great.

  • Will says:

To add to message above…they clearly have problems with staffing levels.

  • Niall says:

Rather disappointed with Alan Boswell – took out btl insurance for multiple properties with them and the broker I spoke to knew nothing about Avios and basically ignored my request about getting them – won’t be renewing????

    • Alan Boswell Group says:

Hi Niall, can you send details to me at Avios@alanboswell.com and I’ll sort as this should not have happened. We have acquired a couple of businesses over the last year so there has been some missed communication. Regards simon

  • Alan Boswell Group says:

If anyone has any questions around our customer service they can either contact me on avios@alanboswell.com or they can check our customer service scores on the independent customer review site feefo

    • Peter K says:

Hmmm. I decided to read reviews on Feefo as you suggested. 4.8/5 is excellent…. But then you start reading. The 5* reviews I read only suggest that it was easy to buy cover, but further digging suggests that a (as one person put it, not denied by the Alan Boswell reply on feefo) BIASED survey was sent to everyone after buying their insurance.

There are no horror stories about non-payouts however so that’s a good thing, just difficulty getting a claim sorted die to customer service.

As with any review site, work through the info, take what you feel is relevant and make your own decision. Don’t go by the headline score (or even my overview here as I see it).

      • Alan Boswell Group says:

Hi Peter, thanks for your comments. We are working out a way to get our claims feedback into an open forum as well so people can see how good we really are as ultimately that’s the product you are buying. Kind regards Simon

  • S879 says:

    I found their customer service
quite prompt and helpful. Avios did post to the account and they also suggested a way to reduce my premium. Had to send a reminder for the refund but it was dealt with quickly. Not sure if they offer avios at renewal but if they do and the quote is competitive, I’d be sticking to them.
