The photographs here (click to enlarge) were sent in by three different readers and show The White Rose Suite.  This is the Priority Pass / Lounge Club lounge – interestingly, they are using the ‘middle’ one in terms of pricing.

White Rose Suite lounge Leeds Bradford Airport

The feedback so far is average – “nice furniture”, “sterile”, “much bigger than before”, “very quiet”, “tiny toilets”, “run of the mill food”, “table too close together”, “not the best quality”, “sawdust smell”, “only a couple of plugs”, “extremely sad and dry bacon rolls”.

It is certainly nothing to convince me that The White Rose Suite is worth £30 cash.  It is still early days though.

You can pre-book for cash for on the Leeds Bradford website here.

  • S says:

re LBA lounges. Do they take Priority Pass?

  • C says:

OT: Thank you very much for the advice yesterday re: overbooked flight from Dubai. At the airport, BA confirmed they had oversold CW as well and that some passengers would have to be put in the 1:30am overnight. No upgrades from WT to CW and only £250 compensation per head, presented as a take it or leave it. Is statutory comp not €600 for a delay of what would be 18 hours? Thanks again.

    • Rob says:

You get Euro 600 EU261 too.

    • Charlie says:

Yes, but be prepared to fight to get BA to follow the law (though sometimes they pay in days when filling in their online claim form). As Rob says 600 Euro per person should be result.

    • Doug M says:

You always take what they offer, it doesn’t impact your statutory rights under 261.

  • kk says:

they say only for singaporeans…….. not sure if they would eventually check lol

    • kk says:

      … and foreigners. never mind.

      • Hugh says:

Seems a bit ambiguous, if its open to foreigners surely that is everyone who meets the other criteria!

        • Sam G says:

The way it is worded I think their intention is for it to be open for foreigners resident in Singapore (we are still referred to as foreigners, you don’t become a resident in local speak until you get permanent resident) – but they’ve worded it incorrectly

          • Rob says:

No. I was emailed by the hotel and the competition is open to anyone globally. The press release calls it “a world-wide competition”.

        • Kenneth says:

‘Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, and foreigners who are at least 21 years old.’.

          It should be read as:
          1) Singapore Citizens;
          2) Singapore Permanent Residents; and
          3) foreigners who are at least 21 years old.

My interpretation is that it is open to Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents of any age, and foreigners who are at the age of 21 or above.

    • Alan says:

Must be for everyone otherwise they wouldn’t have country drop down for address with lots of countries listed 😉

  • Londonbus says:

The prospect of the Yorkshire Lounge reminds me of Hale and Pace – and Yorkshire Airlines..

    • TripRep says:

Thanks for that had forgotten that gem, v amusing, how did I forget mushy peas, presumably the lounge will have a soup container filled with them.

Here’s the Hale & Pace sketch, well worth 2mins for a good giggle…

      • Mike says:

Thank you so much for brightening my morning with the Yorkshire airlines sketch – fabulous

  • TripRep says:

Ay Up, waats al this will t’Yorkshire laange?

Conjures up images of bread dipping, yorky puds, etc. Dress code flat cap mandatory, whippet n pigeons optional.

Fun aside good to see it has more selection, the food could be very good, but I wonder just how much will really be sourced locally, will be interesting to see future feedback.

  • Dougie Forde says:

Competition doesn’t ask for IHG Rewards number – is that important?

    • Chris says:

It also says it is only for non rewards club members but that you will be signed up as a condition of entering. ( after you have gone to the trouble of filling the entire form in)

Boo hiss. I’ve entered anyway and I’ll see if they sign me up again or if they are clever enough to see that my details match.

    • Chris R says:

I’m guessing if you were to win, they’d ask for it !
The T&Cs say you need to sign up of not already a member.

  • kk says:

IS THERE A WAY TO ENTER A DATE (In the IHG promotion) WITOUT CLICKING LIKE AN IDIOT 120 TIMES?

  • Olly says:

I have done the multiple clicks to get to the right date but I can’t get the form to submit! Have tried phone and desktop. Unless it submits it without any confirmation message or anything?

    • Peter K says:

It tells you when you submit in a small pop-up box at the top of the page.
