Avios Ireland: 350 bonus Avios AND get double Avios for converting SuperValu points

As a reminder, our coverage of Avios Ireland (AerClub) is exclusively on the Head for Points website.  You will not receive these articles via our daily emails unless it is a deal which UK residents can take part in.

Whilst Tesco has a major presence in Ireland, AerClub has teamed up with supermarket chain SuperValu.

We have written about the relationship between SuperValu and AerClub a few times.

You earn one Real Rewards point for every €1 you spend in SuperValu.  You can convert Real Rewards points or Money Back vouchers into Avios at the rate of 1:1.  This makes it roughly half as generous as the Tesco partnership which gets you 2.4 Avios per £1 spent.

Two bonuses running at once

Last we month we wrote about a transfer bonus.  Until 8th April, you will get double Avios when converting Real Rewards points into Avios.  This means 1 Real Rewards point is worth 2 Avios.

However, a 2nd bonus has just been launched.

Until 30th April, you will receive 350 bonus Avios when you convert at least 250 Real Rewards points.

This means that – if you convert by 8th April – you would receive double points AND an extra 350 Avios on top.  250 Real Rewards points would get you (250 x 2 + 350) 850 Avios.

PS.  If you visit Kildare Village on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th April 2018 you will collect 4 Avios for every €1 spent during the event instead of the usual 1.25 Avios, with an extra bonus of 100 Avios on top.

PPS.  It seems that Aer Lingus has finally persuaded the dubious looking German nightclub Aer Club to sell the aerclub.com domain name ….
