How to earn Avios points with a Financial Times subscription

Links on Head for Points may pay us an affiliate commission. A list of partners is here.

Avios has launched a new partnership with the Financial Times offering you bonus points if you take out a subscription.

There are no great deals to be had here however.

  • 10,000 Avios with a £447 Premium Digital subscription
  • 10,000 Avios with a £452 Premium Digital & Print subscription
  • 10,000 Avios with a £374 home delivery print subscription

Avios and Financial Times subscription

This is surprisingly weak.  The margins are clearly there to offer at least double that in the first year.  Given the strong profit margins on renewed subscriptions, even 30,000+ Avios would have been affordable, especially on the ‘no marginal cost’ Premium Digital subscription.

    OT_Amex Toto Energy

Has anybody switched to Toto Energy using Amex offer?
Any feedback / experience to share?

    • Roger says:

      Do not use Amex offer.
on my quick quote using generic and amex specific link showed the Amex linked offer was £200 more expensive for same inputs (usage, address etc)

    Genghis,

Does British Gas allow Paypoint payment even on tariff with monthly direct debit?
Considering switching and BG is one of the contender.

    • Genghis says:

Yes. I just asked for a Paypoint card and was sent one for Electric and one for gas although payments pointed to the same place. They’re open to overpayments too 🙂

      • Roger says:

        sounds like a plan 🙂

        • wally1976 says:

Yes you can pay EDF with Amex online. Beware though that when you leave they will refund to the cards you paid from. In my case this was loads of long since cancelled Amex cards – I got it all back ultimately but had to do a fair bit of chasing around.

      • JamesB says:

Anybody any idea about EDF? Just switched to them last month using the £95 back from quid co.

OT: If I stay at a Hilton on consecutive nights, but only book the second night AFTER having already checked out from the first night, how many stays will it register as from a bonus points perspective?

  • Cate ⛱️ says:

OT, BA current leased aircraft route fillers at LGW end this month but Titan will return later. Sundair is being bought in from mid May,

  • Hugo says:

What about those of us that already have an FT subscription…frustrating as I just renewed a couple months ago 🙁

  • RichH says:

Did anyone get any bonus SPG points through this offer for buying with a Starwood Amex? I purchased the full 30k but haven’t received any extra points.
