A reader was on the Newcastle flight yesterday and generously popped to the loo on behalf of HfP readers and delivered this. Tight is the word. I don’t think much of the sink either and I’m not convinced purple ‘mood lighting’ adds much to the, erm, experience.

That said, the reader who took the picture said that she was happy with it, possibly because it was brand new.

My sister is short haul crew on 320 & 321’s. She says you have to enter to WC in the direction that you wish to use the facility. You cannot turn round. Also the crew seat is immediately in front of the toilet door. In an emergency the crew will ‘ Sit down and strap in’ if someone is in the toilet they will not be able to get out. I did suggest to her that in an emergency the toilet might be the best place to be …..

    As another reader pointed out they’ve been moved nothing more. Tbh I’m not sure any a3xx plane toilet is a good place to be for anyone over 6ft like myself weather it’s been shrunk or not

    I’m not sure what to think now which makes me more curious to want to try them for myself. If they’re fitting the same amount of seats as the NEOs on order but don’t need the thinner seats why have the new aircraft been ordered with inferior (IMO but BA must agree if they’re keeping the current ones for CE) seats? Has the pitch been reduced on the rows towards the rear anyway and is the recline disabled on the seats with the lower pitch?
    
    If it’s somehow possible they can get the extra seats in just by moving the toilets while retaining current pitch then it might be acceptable. The USB ports will come in useful, but they really do need to speed up the introduction of WiFi.
    
    Another question remain about toilets. The G-MED (ex-bmi) A321 aircraft only ever had one toilet in the front section, the BA ones currently have two. Will the BA ones be ‘enhanced’ to have just one in the front?
